You're Never Too Old to Rock and Roll

by Vince Eager

on Wednesday 10th April

Vince became a household name in our youth with over 100 TV appearances on shows such as Oh Boy and 6-5 Special and touring with Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochrain and Billy Fury. He was prolific on the cabaret circuit before he moved to star in the West End hit "Elvis" and then re-inventing himself as a cruise ship Cruise Director. Recently he has formed the Memphis Tones and built another career on the nostalgia circuit.

We are not expecting a sedate history lecture!

Please do not arrive before 2.00pm and make sure you bring your PURPLE membership card with you.

You will be aware that parking in front of the church is very limited but there are other church-owned parking opportunities nearby.

Please sign in at the U3A desk inside the church if you park in one of these church parking spaces.

May 2019 Meeting:   This will be held on Wednesday 8 May 2019.

Unlikely positions in unlikely places: a yoga journey around the UK"

Elizabeth Gowling will tell stories from her explorations of yoga. She tells us that " I am not a likely yogini; I am too fond of chocolate and To-do lists, and sometimes fall over my mat. So this is not a 'how to' talk - it's given by an explorer rather than an expert." Sometimes funny, sometimes touching, it evokes the characters and communities met along a fascinating journey, from her dripping day of 'hot yoga' to yoga in prisons.

Details of meetings for the rest of 2019 can be found by clicking on this link.

NOTE: On Wednesday 12 June 2019 we are planning to hold a 21st Birthday Celebration as Charnwood U3A will be celebrating its 21st birthday this year. This is not included in the programme that was previously issued.  Details to follow.
