Monthly Meetings which are free for members

are held at

Emmanuel Church, Forest Road, Loughborough

Charnwood U3A has a general meeting once a month, on the second Wednesday at 2:30pm, where a brief business meeting is followed by the main business of hearing an invited speaker.  Around a 100 members attend the meetings and after the talk you are welcome to stay and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit.


Next Monthly Meeting - Songs for Christmas

with LSU Sings

2:30pm, Wednesday 11th December 2019

For our Christmas concert we welcome LSU Sings, the highly acclaimed Loughborough Student Union Choir. The choir's membership consists of students, staff and members of the public (aged 16+). 

The choir is conducted by Eleanor Graff-Baker who read music at The Queen's College Oxford, where she was a Choral Bursar and a member of Schola Cantorum. The choir's accompanist is Eleonora Babitsky who studied at the Gnessin Music Institute in Moscow. Both have had very accomplished careers.

2020

Our 2020 programme begins on Wednesday 8th January when we have

"Barrow to Baghdad and Back" with Philip Caine.

He is the author of 6 Jack Castle novels and has a colourful story to tell.

This will take us from the hotel industry via North Sea oil rigs to Kazhakhstan, Russia, Iraq and Dubai.
