Charnwood U3A has a
general meeting once a month, on the second Wednesday at the new time of
2:30pm, where a brief business meeting is followed by the main business of
hearing an invited speaker.

Steve Lovell is a self-employed garden designer
/ soft landscaper of 25 years with a passion for making our gardens and
our urban environment more wildlife friendly.
do not arrive before 2.00pm and make sure you bring your PURPLE
membership card with you.
You will be aware that parking in front of
the church is very limited but there are other church-owned parking
sign in at the U3A desk inside the church if you park in one of
these church parking spaces.
March 2019 Meeting: AGM plus our very
own Ernie Miller who will put us in the picture about a part of our
local history that many will not know "Robert Bakewell and Dishley
Grange". This will be held on Wednesday 13 March 2019.
Ernie is a local historian and one-time
archaeologist, having excavated sites in the 1960s and 1970s at
Garendon Abbey and Grace Dieu Priory. After that he has run classes at
Loughborough University and a host of community groups.
Vince Eager's talk " You're never too old to
rock and roll" will now be held in April.
