Charnwood U3A has a general meeting once a month, on the second Wednesday at 2:30pm, where a brief business meeting is followed by the main business of hearing an invited speaker.

The Last Laugh with Jean Townsend

at 2:30pm

on Wednesday 10th July

“The Last Laugh” examines the lighter side of grave stone inscriptions. Jean Townsend is a social historian with a particular interest in the late medieval early Tudor period, a semiretired adult education tutor, a tour organiser and private researcher. She comes highly recommended and will be with us on 10th July 2019.

Please do not arrive before 2.00pm and make sure you bring your PURPLE membership card with you.

You will be aware that parking in front of the church is very limited but there are other church-owned parking opportunities nearby.

Please sign in at the U3A desk inside the church if you park in one of these church parking spaces.

Details of meetings for the rest of 2019 can be found by clicking on this link.

On 14th August 2019 we have an old sea dog in the shape of Neville Maggs who will enlighten us about “Adventures in the Round the World Yacht race”.
