Many women in clothing associated with different professions Have you ever wondered why, when women make up half of the world’s population, the history we were taught was mainly about politics, wars and great men? Women’s History members meet once a month, in a relaxing and welcoming space, to discover and discuss the not-so-famous (and sometimes infamous!) women who have been hidden from history.

We aim to share our knowledge and research on a range of topics, including:

  • women’s work (paid and unpaid)
  • women’s health
  • women in science
  • women in politics
  • women and the law
  • women at war
